Probably no one can identify why this small, little show became a phenomenon. Based on the enormously popular hit 1968 Lucille Ball movie, YOURS, MINE, and OURS, The Brady Bunch ran five seasons, but spun off a cartoon, television movies, more TV series, and two hit big screen movies. Like Star Trek, the show's success stemmed from syndication in the late seventies and early eighties. During its original run, it never ranked in the Top Thirty TV shows, but was a Friday night staple for kids.
